thought everyone would have started with this even tho it was alex's first film and as a young actor he really pulled it off and i for one have got to say excellent work alex,i even had people telling me after seeing it that one of my own twin boys looked very like young alex :D

anyway to get back to a brief review, basically alex plays little school boy damien cunningham who in my opinion is a very set in his ways and determined young kid,he also has a very strong religious belief and of saints i presume which came about since the death of his mother, but one day he recieves a bag of money which he thinks was sent from god and with this belief he has thought out wat to do with the money and that is give it to the poor,i'm not going to spoil it any further for any of you who havent yet seen it but i suggest ye do.

its got a warm feeling to it and really does make you think wat we really are made of and wat makes people tick.

thanks for reading ;) ;)

Millions is a charming film, directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle.

I'm not much of a cinema-goer so I first came across it a couple of years ago, when browsing a bin of DVDs in my local supermarket. The picture of Damien (Alex) on the cover reminded me so much of my 2 young grandsons that I bought it. I bought a few DVDs that day and I didn't get round to watching Millions for a couple of weeks. When I did I was enchanted by the story and have watched it many times since.

Millions would probably have been more successful if the premise of the pound changing to the euro, which is at the heart of the film, had come about.

Shortly after seeing Millions I realised that Alex was the young actor who had brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat when he played Harry Gregson in Cranford and I have followed his career with interest ever since.
